Economic Development in Africa Report 2020: Tackling Illicit Financial Flows for Sustainable Development in Africa - Geneva United Nations 2020 - 248p.

This report, published by United Nations Conference on Trade and Development provides an analysis of Illicit Financial Flows and sustainable development in Africa. Curbing illicit financial flows is therefore an avenue for providing African countries with additional funds towards achieving Agenda 2063 and the Sustainable Development Goals. It suggests that African countries need to engage much more in the international arena, including in the reforms of the international taxation system, to make it more relevant to the challenges Africa faces in the twenty-first century. The report’s findings confirm that illicit financial flows are high in Africa and have been increasing over time.
